714-bed property on 6 acres next to the University of Houston
The project is a 714-bed high-density private student housing development on a 6-acre site next to the University of Houston, Texas. The property will consist of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments ranging in size from 637 square feet to 1,381 square feet, totaling 271,287 square feet, housed in a 4-story semi-wrap structure, with garage parking to the rear.
The site is located just over a half mile southeast of the University of Houston campus. Students will be able to walk or ride their bicycles to school. The newly opened Purple Line of Houston’s METRORail has a station across the street from the Project, providing students with rail access to two different stops on the UH campus, as well as access to the Central Business District of Downtown Houston, which is 4 miles away. There is an 83-acre park adjacent to the Project.
University of Houston enrollment is projected to grow to 45,000 students by 2017, representing 13.8% growth in three years.
