Homeland Security Committee Chairman Praises Austin EB-5 Project in Keynote Address

Representative Michael McCaul, Chairman House Committee on Homeland Security

In his keynote address at IIUSA’s 6th Annual EB-5 Industry Forum in Los Angeles on November 11th, Representative Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, pointed to Texas Growth Fund’s multifamily project in downtown Austin as an example of how well the EB-5 program can work.

The project is a 22-story high-rise in the heart of Austin, housing 200 luxury rental apartments. The property is ideally located within a few blocks of Austin’s robust Central Business District, the Texas State Capitol Building, and the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.

IIUSA’s forum is the industry’s premier EB-5 conference for education and business development and provides timely learning and networking opportunities for EB-5 professionals. “With the help of our members, event sponsors, and leadership, this year’s EB-5 Industry Forum provided much needed momentum for Program reauthorization ahead of the December 9th sunset date,” said IIUSA Executive Director Peter D. Joseph.
